I'm a college teacher in my 40s and live near Cologne, Germany. I've been an avid gamer
since the 80s and have only recently returned to my roots in the hobby.
Around 2009/2010, I grew increasingly dissatisfied with my gaming (via fourth edition D&D) and simultaneously got fascinated by the old school renaissance. In the summer of 2011, I finally took the plunge and cooked up and ran an adventure for the first edition of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay which I hadn’t touched in twenty years. We had an absolute blast and the adventure evolved into a full-blown campaign.

With this blog I have embarked on a personal quest to better understand the
what, why and how of old school
gaming. I also want to become a Killer DM (again) because I believe it to be
the key to my endeavour.
I can be contacted via Johann@gmx.net with another dot and my surname (Mitland) thrown in for good measure. Johann@gmx.net itself does not work.
Hi Johann! Thanks for the Award! The Trinity of Oldschool Gaming is cool stuff, so kep it up. I'll add your blog to my blogroll and hope for similar articles :)
ReplyDeleteHi, I just wanted to leave a comment two years after the last (really so long? oO)
ReplyDeleteHave to say, I'm truly sad to see this blog dead. It had a great start, I hoped to read more DCC and OSR posts. Or about other topics, I like your writing ^^
Ich finde das was du schreibst sehr interlecktuel und interressant aber würde mich auch sehr darüber freuen wenn Zombies schneller sterben würden und es noch eine deutsche fassung dieses Blocks gäbe.
